Welcome, guest!
GlooNet Step By Step Configuration
Step 1: Register

Create a GlooNet username and password.

Step 2: Download

Download the GlooNet desktop software and double click on the file to start the installation process.

Step 3: Install

Install the GlooNet desktop software on one or more networked computers with MP3 audio files. Make sure that you have Java installed or allow the installer to install it if it isn't already on your computer. Double click on the GlooNet tray icon () to open the GlooNet Desktop configuration window.

Step 4: Configure Audio/Photos

From the GlooNet Desktop, click on Audio Folders or iTunes Audio Library to configure the GlooNet Audio Server to discover the audio files that you want to access remotely. Double click "Add Audio Folder..." or "Add Playlist Folder..." to add directories of audio content. Or, if you use iTunes to manage your music, click "Select..." to locate your "iTunes Music Library.xml" music database file. Select Photo Folders and double click on "Add Photo Folder..." to add directories of images.

Step 5: Start Audio/Photo Server

Click the GlooNet Audio Server icon and name your collection. Click the Start button to launch your Audio Server. Next, click the GlooNet Photo Server icon and name your collection. Click the Start button to launch your Photo Server. If either of the Servers does not start, read the troubleshooting tips for possible solutions.

Step 6: Connect to GlooNet

Click on the Connection Manager icon and enter your username and password that you created in Step 1. Click the Connect button to establish a connection to the GlooNet Service (you should only log in from one computer per unique registration, as it will discover all GlooNet Audio Servers running on your home network). If it fails to connect to GlooNet, read the troubleshooting tips for possible solutions.

Step 7: Listen/View

From any browser, go to http://www.gloonet.com and log into your GlooNet account. You should see a list of all the Audio and Photo Servers you have running on your local area network. If you get any error message, read the troubleshooting tips for possible solutions.

Once connected, navigate your music collection and click on a song title to play a specific song, or click on the playlist icon () to play all songs in a particular folder.

If you do not have an MP3 player configured to play when you click on the links from your browser, click here for details.
